Who is the Treasure Chest?

The Treasure Chest Corp. (TC Corp.), a NJ based company, has been developing instruction manuals and service manuals for consumer electronics companies, including Emerson Radio, Scott, Newtech, White-Westinghouse, Craig, Memorex, Concord Camera, Newtech, Prima, Nisshin, Daewoo, Electrophonic and others since the mid-80s. TC Corp. also provides translation services, owner's manual and service manual sales and the development and maintenance of authorized service center service manual subscription plans.

Since the 2002 CES (Consumer Electronic's Show) has concluded and orders for new models are being finalized, your company may be in a bind as deadlines for these new products are fast approaching. Instruction Manual Production

Plain and simple, we write, edit, illustrate, translate and lose sleep until the job gets done. Our owner's manuals always include the latest UL, EIA and safety instructions. Short notice inquiries don't scare us. We can get a project started and finished well within deadline and make mass production with room to spare. Whether it's an instruction manual for a VCR or a high powered amplifier with center speaker and surround sound capabilities, feel at ease to know we can handle it from concept to completion.

Service Manual Production

Developing a service manual may be last on your list of priorities, but it is a very important factor for warranty work and customer satisfaction and by law you must have one. Let us take on the task of putting the manual together and making sure all necessary sections and safety precautions are included!


CD ROM Production and Duplication

Todays Service Center's and technicians cannot be bothered storing or trying to locate a service manual from hundreds or thousands of other manuals. Our solution has been to put the manuals on CD ROM which provides the technician with a user-friendly, cross-platform application that is very easy to use, takes up very little room and is much cheaper then purchasing all the models separately. Duplication Services are also available, which includes the duplication of the CD, Jewel Case, Color 2 Panel Jewel Case Card and 2 Color Printing on the CD.

CD ROMs are also very valuable when it comes to subscription programs. Instead of printing and mailing out 5 to 15 service manuals per quarter, simply ship out 2 to 4 CD ROMS a year, saving thousands on printing and postage!


Translating

Having a second or third language in an instruction manual increases the product's appeal as it now can be utilized by a larger customer base. TC Corp. translates into all major languages and then typesets it with the original illustrations for a professional and consistent appearance. This enables more customers to use/buy your product.


Selling Your Instruction and Service Manuals

Ask anyone in customer service if this sounds familiar: "I just moved here and I can't find my owner's manual" or "We have this VCR and there was a power failure and I need to reset it, but I can't find my owner's manual" or "My set has been in the shop a month now because they can't get a service manual."

These statements are quite common along with dozens of others. Supply us with one good original owner's manual and service manual (or allow us to develop your manuals and we will already have them on hand), along with a letter allowing TC Corp. to duplicate them and all your company has to do is advise the caller of our number - we do all the rest! Products from the box without manuals can be billed back on a monthly invoice.


Development and Maintenance of Your Service Manual Subscription Plan

Many companies supply service manuals to their Authorized Servicers on a no-charge basis. In today's economy, we find that charging an annual fee for the subscription plan weeds out servicers who are not seriously dedicated to the support of the company's products. Servicers also need people to talk to and assist them in determining what plan would be right for their business. The layers of automated messages and mailboxes they encounter only frustrates them.

We answer the phones directly. Our service manual subscription plans to date are quite successful. Rates vary depending on the quantity of manuals and frequency of mailings. These plans can be customized for your company's individual needs.
